Welcome to Africa!

Wow, it's been a while! We've left the ancient times and moved on to world geography. Did you find it interesting to study the Egypt of 3,000 years ago, then to learn about the Egypt of today? If the Nile River could talk, she'd have some amazing stories to share. She has experienced many changes in her lifetime, but some traditions have remained the same. Think about your own life span. What has changed and what has remained? Pretend you are ninety years old and reflecting back on your life. Make a prediction: What things will have changed? What will remain from your childhood?

Dear Ms.Fedele,
Yes it was so much fun when we learned about egypt in it's ainteant time piriod. One of my favorite things about learning was that I got to have that expieareance with you. Another reason I liked learning was that Ms.Whalen was also there to help us learn. I miss Ms.Whalen alot, and I think alot of other people miss her too. I also loved how you, and Ms.Whalen always made things super FUN!!! Any ways I still like the way you teach things, and Ms. Holten-Roth makes STUFF fun aswell. Oh you are probebly wondering why I capitalized the whole word stuff, well that is because I would get in big trouble if i was talking to Ms.Whalen, because she said never to use the word STUFF...

P.S.

My Name Is
Amber Holmes.

Dear Ms. Fedele
Learning about Egypt was amazing. I enjoyed very much studying mummy's. Learning how the mummifacation process worked and making one and a story about who they were and how they lived.

I am looking forward to studying how things are today.

yo Ms.Fedele. Everything has changed since my childhood at my age now. The music i like, the stiff i do, how i do the stuff, my vocabulary, my strength, and everything else even my hair. And when i am 90 i dont think ill be here anymore i think ill be in hevean. Because i am going to recruit into the marines. So thats where im going to be in 79 years.

I really enjoyed studying Egypt past and present. Some of the traditons from ancient Egypt still remian today but some things have changed alot over the last thousand or so years. If I were to look back on my life as a 90 year old person, i would have to guess that things like music and t.v. and other technolagy will have changed the most. They are making more and more discoveries every day about animals, plants, and the rest of the world, they will probably find something really cool out in the next 78 years. I dont think think things like school or work will have changed much because either way you are still going to have to work or learn. Of course there will be new programs to make it easier. I wonder what will happen to sports in the next 78 years? Hopefully basketball and baseball and baseball are still around when im 90 because if they arent, then ill have to something like knitting and id rather be playing sports. cars might also be alot different. Who knows. Only time can tell.

IF I were to look back at my life when I was 90 years old and see what had changed I would see that people would dress diffent. Also I would see that people would lissen to diffent music and drive solar poward cars as well as cars that can go on the water and land.
What would problably stay the same is the way that sports are played. I think that buildings and schools might change a little but mostly stay the same.

I think this would maybe be interesting. I think the culture and the way the people dress in africa will be different than I espect.

I did find it interesting to learn about Egypt before and after. Egypt has changed so much!
Anyway, if I think about my own life span plenty has remained and much more has changed! The way I dress has certainly changed (I used to LOVE wearing dresses. Now I can't stand them!), and I used to be extremely girly. However, my fear of spiders and Barbie dolls (Don't ask about that) has stayed with me, and so has my love of animals that are not creepy and crawly.
If I was ninety, things definately would have changed! I'm certain that by behavior would've changed, and probably how I talk and maybe even how I walk! But I'm positive my fear of spiders will stay with me even if I live to be a million. I'll probably get over my fear of Barbies, though.

Yes i do find it interesting to learn about modern day Egypt after learning about ancient Egypt. I bet the Nile river would have a lot of amazing stories to tell too if it could talk. Some things that have changeds in my life is that I no longer play with G.I Joes and i also don't believe in a monster under my bed. But somne things that have stayed the same are that I still love to play baseball and do sports

i think i would be dressing differnt. The war in iraq would be over. The world will have more tecknology bye

Yes, i find it very interesing to learn about todays Eygpt and 300 million years ago Eygpt. Like Jd said, i bet The Nile River would have some very awesome stories to tell. Well, i dont play with barbies anymore, and i dont suck my fingers anymore either =] But, also like Jd, i do still love to play sports and i still love playing with my hair =]
