Entering Mesopotamia
Welcome to our blog page. We are off to a great start this year. I've enjoyed our study of early humans and the beginnings of civilizations. You did a wonderful job on your Power Point Projects and now it's time to blog. I want to remind you to write as if you were passing this paper in for a grade. You need to edit your typing before you publish your response. Sign your response with your first name and last initial only, not your full name. Please take the time to read your classmates comments when they are posted. We will discuss the comments in class. I am going to start you off with something easy. I want you to write about your opinion of Social Studies class this year. What do you like about it? Dislike? Wish? We have finished one project and one chapter to date. What would you do again? What would you change? In the next chapter, we will study ancient Mesopotamia. We will do a newsletter project. What are your hopes for that section? Take some time to think and write your comment. It should be about as long as my post. Please remember to capitalize, use punctuation, and edit your work. I look forward to reading your thoughts.

1. Like: We don't spend months and months learning one chapter, and everything is easy. And that we're learning about ancient egypt.
2. Dislike: Wow. I can't think about anything I don't like about social studies this year.
3. Wish: I wish we were learning about the Titanic. I don't know why, but I'm interested in learning about it.
Oops. I forgot the other 3 questions.
4. If I had to do one again, I'd probably do prehistory. That was pretty fun.
5. Change: I don't think I'd want to change anything in class. Besides learning about the Titanic
6. Mesopotamia Hope: I just hope that we do the newsletter project soon, because that sounds fun.
I like that we all read togher and not by are self. What i dislike is that we have Quizes with the book i dont want to have those quizes. I wish we could also get to the mummys sonner. I would like to read about the foods and farming agian, my hope for the newsletters are that we do them every day!
What i liked about this chapter was,learning all of the new things I didn't know allready . Like learning about , how we were all Nomads once in early life time .Also how when we stoped beingn Nomads and became farmers . I enjoed learning that alot , i was realy intrested , in that chapter we read . I wouldnt wouldn't want to do this chapter again because then we would all know the answers to the tests and if we got somthing wrong on a test it would bring down our average . If I were to change anything about this chapter, it would have to be adding more things to learn , in a more interesting way . I would make up some games to learn that way and do , other fun things envolving the chapter . I cant wait for the next chapter to learn . :)
Mrs.Fedelle I also I think that this year has gone off to a great start to. I like that we it is going to be fun this year in social studis as well. The things that we are going to learn about sound like fun and I hope that we get to do a lot of hands on stuff. And the things that I think that sound fun are lerning about anchant stuff and how people lived back then I cant wate for the rest of the year it is going to be fun lerning with my class mates and you Mrs Fedele Sinserly Sean.
The thing that I wish is that we can do some things with competer.The thing that I do not like is we do alot of reading in class.Can we do some at home.
I wish that we could do more active ways of learening then just sitting in the class. What I like is that its really easy to kno what your talking about. What I dont like is that we dont get that much time in soicial studies
Mrs Fedele I think the year has gone of with a great start. My favorite is the ICE MAN. What i look forword to is learning about the mummies. I really look forword to the next chapter.
1. What i like.
I extremely enjoy reading about the iceman. Its cool to think that there were people living before us. I mean like, people living years and years before we did.
2. What i dislike.
I don't enjoy all of the homework... I thought home was when we get a break from school. not to do even more work. home should be a time that we relax, and get the word "Work" off our minds.
3. what i wish.
I wish that there was no homework, PERIOD. Homework = Annoying. so i wish that there would be no homework, ever.
4.if i had to do one again.
If i had to do someone in S.S. again, i would do all the reading about the iceman. i enjoy reading about him. its fun learning about people who lived in places were it is all ice.
5.What i would change.
i would change what were reading about. i would like to read about more interesting stuff then just prehistory. like, i want to learn about Hercules and hades and the hydra, the pegasus and all of those anchient creatures.

Mrs.Fedele one thing I like about your class is that we only learn one chapter at a time then take the test instead of learnig five then taking the test. One thing I wish we could learn about is about is the old Italian world and their culture. One thing I did'nt like is that we had so many test's in this chapter.
what like about social studies this year is reading about the iceman and how he was found with all his belongings. like the copper axe and the clothes he was wearing.
it reminds me of a game called runescape.
what i dislike about social studies is reading about the nomads and how they finally got settled homes.Its just boring and it brings sort of bad memories about my past. =(
I wish we where learning about the egyptians and the young king tutakhaman.
I realy like social sudies so far this year. My favoritethin to do is learning about the ice man.My wish is to work at the computer lab more because the computer lab is so more fun. The one thing I would change isspending less time at the library I want more time not less. So that is because I love books and I love the library so much and social studdies maks me hungery causeit is so long so I get so hungery.
Ms.Fedele one thing I like about your class is that we take some time learning things not all at once. Waht i dislike about your class is that I really don't get most of the stuff sometime so it is hard for me to understand my homework.I think that maybe we should go a little slower for some peaple so they can understand the home work.Stuff that I wish is that we get easier homework and that we get to do alot of fun project's this year.I also wish that we could read more about iceman and see better picture's of him.

what i like is that we got to do the power point I thout that it was relly fun.what I dislike is that we readaloyt and we have test alot i wish that we could do more power points.
What I like... I like that we no longer stay in one class to do social studies. I also like that we read all togather insted of by our selves.
What I don't like... I don't like that we have so many quizzes, though.
What I wish...I wish we had less homework. Also, I wish we could do more projects like having a project for each section that we do. I am much happier with this class than last year's classes.
This year we been d oing really fun stuff like power point i think it is fun because we get to draw and put pictures on are slides.

1. What I like this year in Social Studies is that the quizes are really easy. And if you pay attention in class then u pretty much ace the quizs.
2. What I dislike about social studies so far is that we haven't worked on anything really interesting this year. I can't wait to learn about Acient Egypt!
3. This year I wish to learn about early diasaters. Like for example early sickness, and ship wrecks. I think that stuff is really amazing.

so far social studies has been pretty easy.I like the fact that we take tests a lot so we know how we're doing and what we need to work on.I dont like how we have to do book homework because itcan be boring somtimes.
1.I think its been fun doining the powerpoints.But I also think it gets confusing at times.Exspecially when we keep having theses quizes every day.

what like about social studies is that we have books. Last year we did not have any books and it makes alot easier to have text books because at home you have all the in your book so you dont struggle with homework.
What i dont like about social studies is the tests. I think im just not used to all the test we have this year.
What i wish for is that we will learn about ancient jewlary. Because back then you could not go to a store and buy jewlary. So that would be a interesting subject to learn about.

Dislike:Ikind of disliked the civilisation thing. Iwish: I wish to learn about the civil war, I have always been intrested in learning about it, and my friend in North carolina is learning about it.If we did one again I would pick ice man because it is kind of cool finding a dead guy in a mountain.If I had to change somthing I would change prehistory to the civil war. What I hope for Mesopotamia: Is that I like it and we are able to do the news letter.

What I like about Social Studies is learning about the past and what they did.What I don't like about Social Studies is that you have to read for a while and that bords me.
1.Like: that we get to learn about ancient egypt. ITS SOOO COOL!
2:DISLIKE.THE HOMEWORK I know it is'nt much but I just don't like it.
3.wish: I know this wo'nt happen but I wish could learn alot more about egypt and its rulers.

1 Like : I liek that we dont spend a long time learning about things. We learn about something and then move on.
2 Dislike: i dont like doing the test i have to many thins to do when i get home and dont have a lot of time to study.
3 Wish: I wish we had at least 2 or 3 days to study for test so i could do a little better on it. LOL
4: Like Courtney said i would probably do prehistory again i really liked that topic and i did good in it
5: If i could change one thing in class it would have to be the test. I dont like having a test almost like every other day

2.I don't like everything about social studies and one of those things are that we get homework but besides that I like every thing else about social studies.
3.In social studies I wish that I could get 100% on all my tests so that i would have an A+.
4. I would reveiw the stone age chapter and the ice man because those are the chapters i am mostly interested in.
5.I would change the book so that it was smaller and there was less work.

5.If I could change anything about social studies it would be that we didn't have assigned seats. It would be ok but now I'm with two boys, maybe if i was at least with one girl it would be ok.

It is good to be working together on projects and whatnot, it gives you a sense of sociality.
